Privacy for young people

Notik is a study app. You upload your own notes and we help you make flashcards, quizzes, and a plan.

What we know about you

• The name and email you signed up with
• The year you were born (not your full birthday)
• The files you upload and how you study

We do not sell your work. We do not put exam-board papers into a tutor’s paid tools.

If you are under 16

A tutor can only connect if a parent or guardian says yes, using their email. You still log in as you. Your parent does not own your account.

If a tutor is linked

You will see a clear notice that says who they are and what they can see. You (or they) can disconnect at any time. After that they cannot see your progress. Assigned work stays yours.

If you are under 18

You are not shown on the public leaderboard or on a public profile page. Studying is not a competition we put your name on.

Reports for parents

Your tutor can write a progress report and share a link. They have to check it first. We do not email it for them.
